PM Modi Urges Gen Z to Dream Big in Chennai, Says Youth Can Shape India's Future

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed students at the golden jubilee celebrations of Jaigopal Garodia Hindu Vidyalaya in Chennai, urging Gen Z to dream big, think differently and develop solutions for India and the world. Chennai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi called upon India's younger generation to think boldly, develop innovative ideas and contribute to solving global challenges while addressing the golden jubilee celebrations of Jaigopal Garodia Hindu Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Chennai.

Speaking at the Chennai Trade Centre in Nandambakkam, Modi said young Indians have the potential to develop solutions that could shape not only India's future but also that of the world.

'This Is Your Time, This Is Your Opportunity'

Addressing students and young people, the Prime Minister emphasised the importance of innovation, confidence and ambition in building a developed India.

He said the ideas and solutions required for India's development would have an impact beyond the country's borders.

"Today, the world is looking for solutions and you have the potential to provide these solutions," Modi said.

He encouraged young people to look beyond conventional career paths and recognise the opportunities available to them.

The Prime Minister also urged students to approach their future with confidence and consider how their ideas could contribute to society.

Modi Quotes Tamil Poet Bharathiyar

During his address, Modi referred to renowned Tamil poet Subramania Bharathiyar, highlighting his message of courage and fearlessness.

Identifying himself as the representative of Kashi, his parliamentary constituency of Varanasi, Modi invoked Bharathiyar's teachings while encouraging students to pursue their ambitions.

He urged young people to work on their ideas, think differently and overcome fear while pursuing their goals.

The Prime Minister also spoke about the opportunities available in India and the role of young people in achieving the country's development objectives.

Speech Comes Amid Gen Z-Led Protests in Delhi

Modi's remarks come amid demonstrations in Delhi involving students, youth organisations and political activists protesting against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

Protesters have raised allegations concerning electoral transparency and voter-list revisions and have demanded Kumar's resignation.

Delhi Police have detained several protest organisers and participants amid restrictions imposed around proposed demonstrations at Jantar Mantar.

Among those detained were Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke and party representatives Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, who were taken into custody after arriving in Delhi from Mumbai.

The protests and the Prime Minister's remarks have both brought attention to the role of young people in public life, although no direct connection between the Chennai speech and the demonstrations has been established.

Youth Participation in India's Development

During his Chennai address, Modi focused on encouraging young people to pursue innovation and contribute to India's development.

He said the country's future would depend in part on the ability of younger generations to transform ideas into practical solutions.
