Pune: Yerwada police have arrested two men after allegedly recovering six bottles of foreign liquor valued at around ₹27,200. The liquor is suspected to have been stolen from a shop in the Kalyani Nagar area.

The action was taken during a crime-prevention patrol on Monday after a police constable received information about two men behaving suspiciously near the GST office. Acting on the information, a police team reportedly set up a trap on the road between Sahyadri Hospital and the GST office.

The suspects were stopped and questioned by the police. Their responses reportedly raised suspicion, following which officers searched the bag they were carrying. Six bottles of foreign liquor were allegedly found inside.

The accused were identified as Rohan Ram Kamble, 28, from Bakori in Haveli, and Amit Mahadev Sitapure, 27, a resident of Siddharthnagar in Yerwada.
