A woman passenger at Bhubaneswar Airport was seen confronting IndiGo ground staff after her flight was reportedly cancelled, with a video of the incident going viral on social media.

The passenger was seen screaming at airline employees as they attempted to manage the situation. Amid the commotion, she climbed onto a luggage conveyor belt and allegedly threw papers and documents kept on the desk of an IndiGo ground staff employee.

Despite attempts by staff and fellow passengers to calm her down, the woman reportedly continued arguing with the employees. One passenger was heard saying that the woman's child was unwell, apparently referring to the reason behind her distress.

Other passengers also tried to pacify her by offering water. However, she reportedly refused to calm down.

The situation eventually required intervention by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel. A CISF officer was heard warning the woman against damaging airport property and instructing her not to return to the area.

Passengers Allegedly Left Waiting After Flight Cancellation

The incident reportedly took place amid claims that passengers were left waiting at Bhubaneswar Airport after an IndiGo flight was cancelled several hours after its scheduled departure time.

Several social media posts alleged that passengers were not informed about the cancellation in a timely manner and that some remained at the airport without clear information or adequate assistance.

However, the circumstances surrounding the cancellation and the airline's communication with passengers have not been independently established.

Passenger's Behaviour Draws Backlash

While passengers' frustration over flight disruptions has led to criticism of the airline, the woman's behaviour in the video also drew strong reactions online.

Several social media users argued that airport and ground staff are not necessarily responsible for flight cancellations or operational disruptions and should not be subjected to verbal or physical aggression.

Some users called for strict action following the incident, while others urged passengers to direct their anger towards the situation rather than employees who are carrying out their duties.

The incident has once again highlighted the tension that can arise at airports when passengers face sudden cancellations, delays and inadequate communication.

IndiGo has not yet issued an official response to the incident.
