The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has reportedly suspended the licence of New Diamond Bakery in Kondhwa, Pune, after complaints that expired food products were kept at the bakery. Two families reportedly fell ill after consuming food items from the bakery and were admitted to hospital.
FDA Takes Action Against New Diamond Bakery
The FDA reportedly took action against New Diamond Bakery, located in the Brahma Majestic, Kausarbag Masjid Road area of Kondhwa, on September 10, 2026.
The action followed a complaint alleging that expired food products were being stored at the bakery. The bakery's licence was subsequently suspended, according to the information available.
Two Families Reportedly Fell Ill
According to the complaint, members of two families reportedly became unwell after consuming food products from the bakery and required hospital treatment.
In one case, Wasim Sheikh's family reportedly fell ill and was admitted to hospital. Sheikh subsequently filed a complaint at Kondhwa Police Station and also approached the FDA regarding the matter.
Medical Reports Under Examination
