23-Year-Old Woman Dies After Collapsing at Karnataka Lodge; Post-Mortem Report Awaited

Karnataka: A 23-year-old woman died under unexplained circumstances after collapsing inside the bathroom of a lodge in Sakleshpur, Karnataka. The woman had reportedly eaten chocolate shortly before the incident, although police have not established any connection between the chocolate and her death.

The deceased has been identified as Varsha, who had travelled to Sakleshpur a few days earlier and was staying at the lodge with her cousin and a friend.

Woman Collapses Inside Lodge Bathroom

According to preliminary information, Varsha ate chocolate while staying at the lodge and subsequently went to the bathroom to prepare for a bath.

She reportedly collapsed inside the bathroom shortly afterwards. People present at the lodge attempted to revive her, but she died soon after.

The sudden incident prompted the lodge staff to inform the police.

No External Injuries Found During Initial Examination

After receiving information about the incident, Sakleshpur Rural Police reached the lodge and took custody of the body. It was subsequently sent for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.

According to police, the initial examination did not reveal any visible external injuries on Varsha's body.

However, the exact circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear.

Cousin and Friend Questioned by Police

Varsha's cousin and friend, who were reportedly staying with her at the lodge, are being questioned as part of the investigation.

Police have registered an unnatural death case at Sakleshpur Rural Police Station and are awaiting the post-mortem findings.

Investigators have not confirmed whether the chocolate Varsha consumed played any role in her death.
