Parliament Uproar on One Side, Students’ Anger on the Other! Amidst it All, New Education Minister Shows Action on Day One
Following the NEET paper leak controversy and nationwide student protests, a major change has been made in the Education Ministry. Pralhad Joshi, who assumed the role after Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation, immediately went into action mode, holding a high-level meeting with ministry and NTA officials to address transparency, upcoming exams, and restoring student trust.
Following the NEET paper leak controversy and nationwide student protests, the Central Government has made a major change in the Education Ministry. After former Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation, Pralhad Joshi has taken over as the country's new Education Minister.
But the significant thing is that immediately after taking charge, Pralhad Joshi appeared straight in action mode. Within a few hours of taking charge, he called a high-level review meeting with senior officials of the Education Ministry and NTA.
In this meeting, issues such as making the examination system more transparent and secure, preparations for pending examinations, and how to regain the trust of students after the paper leak were discussed in detail.
The challenges before the new Education Minister are not few. On the one hand, the opposition in Parliament is cornering the government over the paper leak, and on the other hand, lakhs of students are demanding a strong and fair examination system.
Now all eyes are on whether under the leadership of Pralhad Joshi, major changes will really be seen in the examination system, or will the students’ protest still continue.
