Ghaziabad Soya Chaap Factory Raided: 200 kg of Unhygienic Product Destroyed, Samples Sent for Testing
A Food Safety Department raid at a soya chaap factory in Ghaziabad uncovered unhygienic manufacturing conditions. Officials destroyed around 200 kg of unsafe soya chaap on-site and collected three samples for laboratory testing to check for adulteration and harmful chemicals.
Ghaziabad: A major food safety operation in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad has raised serious concerns over the quality of food being supplied to consumers. The Food Safety Department conducted a surprise inspection at a soya chaap manufacturing unit, where officials allegedly found the product being prepared under extremely unhygienic conditions.
During the raid, authorities discovered poor sanitation and unsafe food handling practices inside the factory. Acting immediately, the department destroyed nearly 200 kilograms of unhygienic soya chaap to prevent it from entering the market.
To determine whether the product contained harmful chemicals or other adulterants, officials collected three samples and sent them to a government food testing laboratory for detailed analysis. The final course of action will depend on the laboratory findings.
The Food Safety Department stated that it will continue conducting strict inspections and take firm action against manufacturers involved in producing or selling unsafe and adulterated food products. Officials also appealed to consumers to remain cautious while purchasing or consuming food from outside sources and to report any suspicious food quality issues to the authorities.
