Seven-Year-Old Girl Dies After School Staircase Collapses in Bihar, 3 Students Injured
A seven-year-old Class 1 student died and three other students were injured after a staircase collapsed at a government primary school in Bihar's Khagaria district. The incident took place in Amni village, and an investigation has been ordered.

Khagaria: A seven-year-old girl died and three other students were injured after a staircase at a government primary school collapsed in Bihar's Khagaria district on Wednesday morning.
The incident took place at around 10 am at a primary school in Amni village, under the Mansi police station area.
The deceased has been identified as Ritika Kumari, a Class 1 student at the school. According to police, the staircase suddenly collapsed while several students were present, leaving some of them trapped.
Mansi SHO Deepak Kumar said that one student died in the incident, while three others sustained injuries. The injured students were taken to Sadar Hospital for treatment.
Khagaria District Magistrate Vikram Virkar directed the District Education Officer (DEO) to investigate the incident and submit a report within 24 hours.
An amount of Rs 4 lakh has been provided as compensation to the family of the deceased student. Further investigation into the circumstances surrounding the staircase collapse is underway.
